Cellular & Longevity

About this programme

High-dose NAD+ delivered intravenously so it reaches the bloodstream directly and repairs cells throughout the body — particularly the brain and pancreas — without passing through the digestive system.

Key benefits & who it may suit

  • Slows cellular degeneration throughout the body
  • Increases brain energy and reduces mental fatigue
  • Supports metabolism and fat burning
01

What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme derived from vitamin B3. It occurs naturally and is found in every cell of the body. Its key role is to slow cellular degeneration and protect cells from damage: it drives the conversion of food into cellular energy and supports cell regeneration, keeping cells young and resilient. NAD+ can be described as a compound that restores the body down to DNA level, helping to prevent the deterioration of every major system — especially the nervous system and brain, which govern perception, thought and memory.

Studies show that NAD+ falls to around 50% of youthful levels by middle age, and to less than 20% in older age. That decline shows as visible ageing, wrinkles and deeper lines, followed by deterioration of the nervous system and brain, along with increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, immune deficiency, obesity and fertility problems.

What is NAD+ Therapy?

NAD+ Therapy is the administration of high-dose NAD+ into a vein, so it enters the bloodstream and rapidly repairs cells throughout the body — particularly the brain and pancreas — without needing absorption through the digestive tract. It slows the degeneration of every cell type, increases brain energy, reduces mental fatigue, improves memory, protects the nervous system, lowers stress and also improves weight loss and fat metabolism.

What NAD+ Therapy helps with

  • Supports the nervous system and brain by increasing energy and stimulating cell regeneration — reducing brain fog, improving memory and helping to protect against dementia and Alzheimer's disease
  • Slows ageing and keeps skin cells youthful, helping to prevent premature wrinkles
  • Slows the ageing of cells throughout the body so organ systems function normally, keeping you strong, less prone to illness and quicker to recover
  • Supports the metabolic system, keeping weight stable as you get older
  • Reduces the risk of age-related disease, including diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, bone conditions and eye and vision problems

Who NAD+ Therapy suits

  • People working long hours with sustained mental effort who experience brain fog and want to feel sharp again
  • Those experiencing cognitive decline, memory problems or short attention span who want to restore brain and nervous system function
  • Anyone with long-accumulated fatigue who feels persistently tired and wants to raise energy levels
  • People wanting to restore muscle strength for daily life, including regular exercisers and athletes
  • Those recovering from substance dependency or the misuse of certain chemicals
  • Anyone wanting to support vision

How NAD+ works

NAD+ therapy replenishes a coenzyme that improves cellular performance. It works in two main ways: converting cellular energy, and keeping cells strong and functioning at full capacity.

  • NAD+ stimulates cell repair at DNA level, extending cell lifespan and keeping cells robust.
  • NAD+ activates sirtuin proteins, which play a key role in slowing ageing and regulating cellular ageing. When sirtuins work fully they protect cells from damage, reduce intracellular inflammation and support longer cell life.
  • NAD+ restores mitochondrial function — the powerhouse of the cell — so cells repair and renew themselves efficiently and organ systems including the heart, nervous system, respiratory system and endocrine system work normally.

How often should NAD+ be done, and when will I see results?

NAD+ Therapy is administered by intravenous drip, similar to a saline infusion. In the initial phase doctors usually recommend one session per week for at least 4–5 consecutive weeks, with monthly maintenance thereafter. After a NAD+ drip you will feel refreshed and more energetic, with a clearer mind, and changes become distinctly noticeable over 2–3 weeks. Anti-ageing and skin results require several consecutive weeks of therapy before they show clearly.

07

Possible side effects

  • Some patients experience headache, dizziness, a fast heartbeat, chest tightness or mild nausea during the infusion. Tell the doctor and the infusion rate can be reduced; these effects usually settle within 10–20 minutes of finishing.
  • There may be marking or irritation at the infusion site, which resolves on its own.
  • Where NAD+ is administered outside an accredited clinic or by someone who is not a qualified doctor, inappropriate or non-standard dosing can cause allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting, chest tightness or breathing difficulty, and unclean equipment can cause infection.
08

How to prepare

  • Tell the nurse or doctor in detail about your health, underlying conditions, regular medication and any history of allergy to medicines, vitamins or supplements during the pre-treatment consultation.
  • Sleep well and stay calm and relaxed before your session, to reduce the chance of headache or dizziness afterwards.
09

Aftercare for NAD+

  • Sleep sufficiently — at least 6–8 hours a night so the body can rest and repair.
  • Eat a healthy, balanced diet so the body receives the full range of vitamins and minerals.
  • Drink enough clean water — at least 1.5–2 litres a day.
  • Exercise regularly to build strength from within.
  • Stop smoking and avoid alcohol to build long-term health.
10

Who cannot have NAD+

  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People with kidney failure
  • People with heart, kidney or other significant medical conditions, unless assessed and approved by a doctor

What makes NAD+ at LINNA Clinic different

Every NAD+ programme at LINNA Clinic is prescribed and supervised by doctors experienced in longevity medicine. Dosage is individualised, the infusion rate is adjusted to your comfort, and vital signs are monitored throughout. We use pharmaceutical-grade NAD+ from trusted sources, in a licensed clinical environment.

12

After your IV drip

  • Drink plenty of water afterwards — around one ounce of water per kilogram of body weight.
  • Avoid alcohol during and after the infusion.
  • Rest properly so the body can use the nutrients efficiently.
  • Avoid smoking after treatment, as it reduces the effectiveness of the therapy.
  • Repeat the programme consistently — typically once a week, or as advised by your doctor — for clear results.
13

Medical supervision at LINNA

Blood pressure and heart rate are measured before every infusion. If anything feels unusual during treatment, the infusion rate is adjusted immediately, or stopped if necessary. Vital signs are checked again afterwards, so you leave the clinic knowing everything is normal. A doctor reviews your health history and any allergies before your first drip.
